The Hotel Avenida Palace is a classic hotel in Barcelona and yet has all the comforts a hotel must offer in the twenty-first century. Constructed in the year 1952 and now totally renovated, it has 151 spacious and comfortable bedrooms.

Its location is unbeatable: right in the heart of the city, a short distance from la Rambla and the best architecture in the city, Gaudí’s buildings, modernism and the Picasso Museum. The Hotel Avenida Palace is located in the centre of Barcelona, just 2 minutes from Plaza Cataluña, the Gothic Quarter, Paseo de Gracia, Rambla Cataluña, and Las Ramblas and very near to the Palau de la Música and the Gran Teatro del Liceo. It is surrounded by emblematic buildings of the city and buildings from its modernist époque, such as la Casa Milà (La Pedrera), la Casa Batlló, la Casa Amettler, la Casa Lleó Morera, la Casa Terrades (o casa de les Punxes) and the Sagrada Familia cathedral. Moreover, it is very near to the Port Vell, Puerto Olímpico (Olympic Port) and the Olympic stadium.

There are many museums near to the hotel, such as the Museo Picasso, the Joan Miró Foundation, the Antoni Tàpies Foundation, the Egyptian Museum, the Centre for Contemporary Culture in Barcelona, the Thyssen- Bornemosza collection, the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art and the Maritime museum, among others.

How to reach the hotel from the airport by public transports?

By taxi. A taxi from the airport should take about 25 minutes and will cost you from 25 to 30 €, depending on the traffic and your luggage.

By train: the RENFE train leaves every half hour and will take you to the Passeig de Gracia station in about 25 minutes. The cost is 2,60 € one way. The hotel is less than a minute away from the metro on foot.

By bus. You can also take the aerobús from the airport to Plaça Catalunya. The fare is 2,90 €. The journey time is about 30 minutes. The hotel is less than a minute away from the metro on foot.
